About Miss Black Eminence

Elevating Excellence,
Embracing Authenticity

Eminence — a position of distinction, a symbol of prestige, a testament to greatness. It represents those who rise above, lead with purpose, and shine unapologetically in their own power.

Miss Black Eminence is more than a title — it is a movement dedicated to celebrating strength, confidence, and culture. We create a platform where every queen can embrace her journey, amplify her voice, and reign with undeniable presence.

Formerly known as Miss Black Continental U.S., our legacy continues with a bold new vision — empowering women to stand in their truth, break barriers, and leave an everlasting impact.

Private Interview - 30%

Your interview is where the crown is truly won. In a panel-style setting, you'll have five (5) minutes with our judges to show them exactly who you are and why you're ready to represent Pageants "R" Us Productions. There are no political questions, unless stated on your judges sheet and no religious questions, unless stated on your judges sheet and nothing pulled from a textbook. Our judges simply want to know you.

Business attire is the dress code, and yes, a little bling is always welcome!

Judges look for: communication and articulation, substance and thoughtfulness, confidence under follow-up questions, and authenticity. Above all, they want to meet a real person.

Cultural Expression- 20%

In ninety seconds on stage, you'll present in heritage-inspired attire of your choosing and pair it with an expression of your culture — spoken word, a monologue, a poem, a song, a dance, or a short presentation honoring Black heritage, history, or culture. The form is entirely your choice. A beautifully delivered spoken piece scores just as highly as a performance, so choose what is authentically yours.

Judges look for: styling and presentation, the strength and authenticity of your message, delivery, and stage presence. Style and substance carry equal weight.

Evening Gown - 25%

The moment every queen imagines. You'll present in a full-length evening gown of your own choosing; color, fabric, and silhouette are entirely yours. Think of the Oscars or the Grammy Awards: elegant, sophisticated, age-appropriate, and unmistakably you. Choose shoes you can genuinely walk in, and choose a gown that makes you feel your absolute best, because the judges will see it the moment you step out.

Judges look for: poise and movement, grace through the walk and turns, overall presentation and polish, and a final pose that lands. The gown's price tag is never scored, how you carry it is.

On-Stage Question - 15%

Think on your feet! In your interview attire, you'll answer one question on stage in thirty seconds — no preparation, no second take. Questions are general in nature and never drawn directly from your private interview. This is the phase that shows the audience what the judges already saw behind closed doors.

Judges look for: articulation, wit and intelligence, composure under pressure, and the ability to speak with eloquence when there's no time to rehearse.

Photogenic - 10%

Submitted with your entry, your headshot is judged as its own phase.  Standard retouching is permitted; composite and AI-generated images are not.

Judges look for: photogenic quality, personality through the lens, and grooming and styling.
